wpd Group
Founded as a two-men company in Bremen in 1996, wpd grew up together with the wind industry. Today, we are a globally active developer and operator of wind parks and of solar parks as well. We are playing a pivotal role in the energy transition and contributing towards protecting our climate. Our 4,000 employees are working committedly in 31 countries and can fall back on their experience gained from setting up 2,750 turbines with an output of 6,670 MW.
The wpd Group constitutes a comprehensive value chain in the wind and PV energy sector. The Group is made up as follows:
- wpd GmbH (development and operation of wind farms onshore and solar parks)
- wpd windmanager GmbH & Co. KG (commercial management and technical operation)
- Deutsche Windtechnik AG (maintenance and servicing)
